Zachary is a freelance lighting designer, programmer, and production electrician based in Boston, MA. Currently he is serving as the Master Electrician and Lighting Department Supervisor at the Ogunquit Playhouse for their 2019 season.
In Boston, Zachary works most often with the Boston Children’s Theatre, ArtsEmerson, Huntington Theatre Company, and the A.R.T. Zachary also works as a lead electrician and programmer with the events departments of High Output and 4Wall Boston.
Zachary grew up in Chelmsford, MA, a suburban town northwest of Boston. He got his start in live production through Chelmsford's public access TV station, CTM, and the CHS Theater Guild. Zachary started designing lights in 2010, and after designing several award-winning plays and musicals in high school, he enrolled at Penn State in the Theatre Design and Technology program. He graduated from Penn State with a BFA in May of 2017. During the summers, Zachary had internships at Berkshire Theatre Group and the Opera Theater of Pittsburgh. Since graduating, he has spent two summers as the Master Electrician at the Sharon Playhouse in northwest Connecticut.
